Deadline: 3 May 2021

PITCH TO SECURE FUTURES
Thanks for your interest in writing for Secure Futures by Kaspersky, the digital magazine that helps C-suite and senior professionals explore leadership, new business technologies and keeping their business secure. In 2020 we had a successful second year in publication, winning awards including Content Marketing Association’s Technology Publication of the Year. We also launched four regional versions of our site in Latin America, the UK and the US.
We’re now commissioning pieces to publish from June to December 2021. Please read the accompanying document, Background to Secure Futures magazine, before pitching.
PRIORITY TOPICS FOR JUNE-DEC 2021:
Future of work
- Hybrid working (from home or workplace) is here to stay. ‘Work from anywhere’ is a new contractual arrangement. How can businesses use technology and leadership tactics to adapt?
- Near-market technologies that will benefit industry, especially healthcare, manufacturing, service industries and finance
Future of society
- Tech solutions business could create to evolve society e.g., smart cities, eHealth, digital democracy
- Tech that supports communities most impacted by the pandemic
Digital transformation
- Now more business has shifted to online, how can cutting-edge tech like AI, 3D printing and blockchain improve business processes and benefit customers/society
- How are businesses using technology to adapt or bounce back from the pandemic
Technology talent
- Corporate initiatives or advice on how to hire and develop the careers of women in tech
- Schemes or training initiatives improving employee cybersecurity skills or growing next-generation cyber professionals
- Interviews with rising stars and established leaders making waves in cybersecurity
- The pandemic has shifted or changed some industries beyond recognition. What are the new skills the current and future working generation need for our technological future?
- Now it’s harder to network in person, how can online communities support people through their technology careers?
Healthcare
- What telehealth and other technologies are making healthcare safer, more efficient and improving patient outcomes? How care these technologies safeguard personal data?
- Organizations creating technologies for human augmentation or improving the lives of those living with physical disabilities
- Now we’re spending more of our lives online, experiencing ‘Zoom fatigue’ working at home, how can leaders help their teams to protect their mental health?
Cybersecurity
- Ransomware is on the rise, with devastating consequence for corporate data. What strategies are organizations using to successful combat ransomware attacks?
- With the rapid rise of AI and personal data capture, how can organizations keep personal, and corporate, data safe?
EXAMPLES OF ARTICLES THAT WORKED WELL FOR US IN 2020:
- Strong opinions: Far from AI stealing our jobs, the future could be full employment
- Security issues facing the C-suite: Corporate boards need more members who ‘get’ cybersecurity
- Expert points of view from original interviews: Supporting your home-working team’s mental health: Advice from psychologists
- Timely, with wide relevance for leaders: Back in the office or at home, give this health issue urgent attention
We want pieces aimed at a generalist senior business audience, assuming no specialist technical knowledge. It’s helpful to include a cybersecurity angle if relevant to your topic but not mandatory. Include expert knowledge (your own or from interviews) – we won’t commission pure desk research or listicles.
