Patron Exclusive: Omnichord Strum Strings Decent Sampler Library

I want to thank you all for becoming patrons. It really means a lot to me!

For this month's patron exclusive, I've sampled the "strum strings" on my beloved Omnichord OM-84. I really, really love the sound of this sample library. I'm half way through shooting a video about this very instrument–a deep dive into my longstanding obsession with the Omnichord, autoharps and other zither-based instruments. It's a subject I find myself to be inexplicably passionate about. Anyway, enjoy the sample library and thank again for being a patron!

EDIT: The 2.0 version of this sample library can now play chords just like on the actual instrument. You'll need to upgrade to the latest version of Decent Sampler (1.11.1 or later)  in order for it to work.

Hi David - was just browsing through the old posts to make sure I was up to date with everything and I found this....I never noticed in before. Are they strum files still available anywhere please? Thanks H

I found a strange bug while using the library inside ableton. After pressing some keys the gain will go crazy and saturate the whole channel making impossible to keep using the instrument. does anyone know a workaround for this issue? Thanks in advance

I'll second Ralph's comment! This is really a neat one, David! Thanks!

that’s so great to hear! :)

I’m grateful for your videos because they introduce me to new things and inspire me to approach problems in different ways, but the icing on the cake is being able to play something I otherwise couldn’t access. It’s a real gift.

Hi David, I just recently downloaded this through my decent sampler plugin and I was just wondering where are the presets or the chord strums as such. All I can see at the moment is the keyboard with individual keys. Thanks

It's also worth knowing that the dslibrary presets are actually just .zip files. If you change the extension from .dslibrary to .zip, you can get access to the actual underlying WAV files that are used for the library.

Hi Ole. These patches are Decent Sample presets. In order to use them, you need to download the free Decent Sampler plugin which is available here: https://www.decentsamples.com/product/decent-sampler-plugin/

how do I open these files?

Ole
