Looking for a variety of freelance writers to write original blog posts about the world of essential oils and aromatherapy with the following qualities.

Have industry knowledge or be willing to learn about it (essential oils, aromatherapy, holistic and homeopathic remedies)
Experience in creating original work (an example to be submitted during the interview process)
Ability to meet weekly deadlines
Ability to attend and participate in creative meetings (bringing ideas, collaborating with a team)
Experience with or willingness to learn about search engine optimization
A strong connection to our company values (family-friendly, light-hearted, happy, helpful)
A writing style that can inform, tell a story, break down complex ideas, or lead readers to where they can find their answer

JOB DETAILS:

Content Type: Website Blog Posts
Length: 600-1000 words (flexible)
Subject: Essential Oils, Aromatherapy, Holistic and Homeopathic Remedies

USES, RECIPES, SPOTLIGHTS, FAQS

Images: Choose at least three images per post from our in-house collection or find your own.
Review: All posts are submitted to our blog manager. She will review and suggest edits and evaluate blog posts.
Posting: Posts will be put on the website in your name according to a blogging schedule. Individual posting will be handled by our blog manager.
Pay/Contract: 10 cents per word (600 word post = $60, 1000 word post = $100). We assume a well-written and researched blog will take about 3 hours to write. That’s about $20 an hour with room for increase dependent upon skill and quality of blog posts. Contracts will be reviewed monthly or every 4 posts.
Deadlines: Each week on Thursday afternoon, but the earlier the better.

Reminders: Reminder email on Thursday morning and calendar item on Thursday around 3:30.

Demerits/Termination: If we don’t receive the blog post by 4:00PM MST, then you will receive a feedback email and have one hour to turn it in or receive a demerit. Your pay and our work relationship are influenced by your dependency. If posts are not received by the end of business hours on Thursday, this working relationship may be subject to termination.
