We're accepting pitches for June's theme: On-Air!
We're taking a look at the Black women in broadcast history and the impact they had on hip-hop! We want pitches on radio hosts, TV show hosts, DJs, VJs and more from Black women and non-binary writers at all levels. Email a full draft or 150 words outlining your piece and writing samples if you have them to nadirahsimmons@thegumbo.net and bwhite@thegumbo.net with "June theme" in the subject line no later than May 14 at 11:59pm est. Our rate is $175 for pieces that are between 750-1000 words. We get an extremely high volume of pitches. If you do not hear from us within a week, please feel free to pitch your piece elsewhere.
