Remote Tech Blogger wanted | $40-$60 per hour

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: HIT START MEDIA

Hit Start Media needs a dynamic writer to craft inspired stories about the tech industry. This includes posts for startups that have commissioned Hit Start to produce podcasts, as well as our flagship tech and politics brand, Techlash. There will be additional writing tasks related to podcast promotion and plenty of growth opportunities. Our ideal candidate will start on contract (10-15 hours a week), but ultimately come on full-time in 3-6 months.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Write blog posts for clients based on podcasts
• Create strategic content calendars for blogs
• Contribute to a new Techlash newsletter/blog
• Write scripts for video and social media posts
• Write detailed, researched podcast show notes
• Provide researched outlines for podcast hosts
• Attend Zoom meetings on an as-needed basis

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• A firm grasp of the tech industry and a strong point of view
• Professional experience running or contributing to a blog
• Marketing know-how and a need to express yourself
• Experience and comfort self-editing your own writing
• Fast turnaround and responsive communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Hit Start is a remote-first podcast company with a tight-knit team distributed throughout the United States. The company is owned and operated by creatives with experience in tech and entertainment. We value emotional intelligence, constructive communication, and a sporting attitude when it comes to hitting deadlines. We have daily morning meetings, but otherwise, trust team members to deliver results and be responsive within West Coast business hours.
