Looking particularly for pieces about the intersections of subculture and creative work.
Stories we've published along those lines: ramen chef turned street photography mag creator, ad agency strategist advocating for offline, fashion designer looking at ankoku butoh dance
I take pitches and more complete submissions. We tend to publish long-form pieces ranging 1200-2000 words and our publication frequency is intentionally slow, so there's time to work on each piece that goes up.
Rates: 200 USD for the 1200-1600 word range, 250 USD for the 1600-2000 word range.
