Seeking outdoors writers to contribute to our coverage of the natural world in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, including news that affects the outdoors and all to see and do in the area
Outdoors news should run gamut from national efforts to fight Lyme disease, to NY’s push to control invasives like HWA, to local swimming hole surcharges.
I am looking for writers to also bring regional expertise on cool stuff to do outside.
Outdoors means lots of things: Rock climbing, gardening, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, etc. Don’t have to be an expert in all things but should have curiosity and ability to report and write on a wide range.
Pay is $175-300 per piece, with potential to go up for large-scale pieces.
