Pitches wanted (travel) | $300-$700 per piece

Rates can range depending on experience, who you've written for before, the depth of reporting, if it is your first time writing for us, etc. Day rates reporting can be around $300. The print travel section pays around $700 for covers, $500 for inside stories. Often times we will pay around $500 for a first story with a shorter word count and then will do around a .50 word rate with longer features once we can trust your reporting and cleanliness of your writing.
Also a warning that I am without a deputy editor and in the process of hiring one so while I may take pitches right now, I can't take a ton.
