Freelancers! We are looking for environment pitches at DW Global Ideas & Environment from anywhere in the world. Get in touch through our pitching form here. We pay 377 euros for a 800-1000 word feature and more if we commission a radio/video package.
We are looking for deeply reported, compelling features on the environment and climate change from around the world. We like stories that shed light on creative and effective solutions, give a voice to the marginalized, show how policies are playing out on the ground and matter to people’s lives, or tell a story from an unusual perspective. We have an international audience and want writers that can break down complex topics into clear, understandable and powerful narratives. Your story should be original enough to appeal to specialists and accessible enough to inform a general interest reader.
Our features are normally 800-1000 words. We are also keen on multimedia stories: If you can provide audio or video, or would like to pitch a photo essay, please let us know.
