Science journos, calling for pitches: I edit a column where we take readers through the twists and turns of tricky patient cases. They're usually written by doctors, but recently we've expanded that to include stories from science writers.
The idea is to make readers feel like they're peering over the physician's shoulder.
Know of any wild medical mysteries where doctors struggled to figure out what was wrong? Surprising last-minute diagnoses? Cases that shed light on little-known conditions? Pitch me.
Our columns run at 1,200 words and our starting rate is $1 per word. (We also use pseudonyms for any patients we profile.) Excited to get some new voices in here!
