I am now taking pitches for a brand new content initiative. I’m looking to commission anything related to creative culture today. Opinion pieces encouraged—Are NFTs worth anyone’s time? What’s Instagram done to our tastes? Who's creating amazing digital art? WTF is happening with AR, VR and why should we all care?
PLUS PITCHES FOR THE FOLLOWING SERIES:
- Art that worked: A moving story about a piece of visual (non performance soz) art that had an impact on you. Did something help you feel represented, or to reconnect with a person, feeling, or place? Any visual art, any significant alteration to your life/thinking.
- Artist earning diaries (will be anonymous), e.g. ‘Staying alive as an illustrator on 9k per year.’ Want to publish pieces on how artists pay the bills/survive when their passion doesn’t pay yet. Side hustles. Saving tips. Niche freelance websites/clients? Secret other jobs?
- Hot under the colour: Talk about art and/or artists who gave you a sexual awakening, art that stirs something in you or makes your specific sexuality feel seen or represented. Anything you think is hot, basically.
- Street Art with Desire: Street art that gets you excited. Why should more people look at this and what does the artist have to say? Beautiful murals and moving, visual statements. Lots of imagery. (No need to contact artist—unless it’s you—until commission confirmed).
