ABOUT THE ROLE

The Brave marketing team is responsible for driving brand awareness and, ultimately, growth of Brave products. We’re looking for an experienced content writer to help our marketing team on a contract basis.

In this role, you will create top-of-funnel / SEO content to grow traffic to Brave’s websites, and help ensure that traffic converts into meaningful downloads / usage of Brave.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Author content that will increase organic traffic to brave.com, and drive downloads of the Brave browser
Develop and maintain a pipeline of ideas for future content projects, based on internal knowledge and SEO research
Partner with the marketing team to identify topics for landing-page content on brave.com, Quora, and other outlets
Create content for social media campaigns
As needed, contribute to other content projects, including Brave blog posts, case studies and white papers, and more
Influence marketing team members on overall content strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

Top notch writing and editing skills
4-year degree from an accredited college or university (marketing / communications / PR is a plus, but not required)
Established track record of writing for tech startups; familiarity with cryptocurrency a plus
Adept at distilling complex technical concepts into concise, east-to-understand content
Comfortable receiving and giving constructive feedback on creative copy
Demonstrated experience generating top-of-funnel content that produces measurable results
Comfortable writing against measurable KPIs, and iterating to improve metrics
Highly organized and responsive; comfortable with deadlines
Comfortable with fully remote work, and communicating via Slack, Zoom, Figma, and G Docs

COMPENSATION

This is a fully remote, part-time, contract position. Duration is 3-6 months to start, with the possibility to extend. Weekly hours may vary, but generally expect 5 - 10 hours a week. Working hours are flexible, though there will be expectation of availability for the occasional meeting during standard work hours (M-F). Hourly rate is competitive and negotiable.
