Pitches / writers wanted (Eastern Iowa) | $150-$200 per article

I'm taking pitches and I also have stories to assign. Our rate is generally $150-200 per article, and those run anywhere from 650 to 1,000 words. We’re a regional newspaper covering Eastern Iowa (mostly Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and surrounding communities). My department publishes special sections, a couple small magazines, and some sponsored content for local businesses. We also have a regular section on health care. Right now I’m looking to assign some travel/nature articles, but the writer would probably need to be local.
I’m also looking for great stories/profiles about Eastern Iowa women in business for our magazine, which publishes twice per year.
