PITCHING BRIEF: FALL ISSUE
Deadline for pitches: August 25th by 5 pm ET
Here’s what we are looking at in terms of theme, topics and destinations:
Theme: extended family gatherings and group travel, getting back together while travelling. Most of all, we want to focus on the fun of travelling and forget about the pandemic. Go back to being together.
Stories featuring Caribbean destinations (all age groups) and Europe (with travelling with teenagers in mind):
EXAMPLES OF IDEAS:
- How to enjoy more of your hotel experience when travelling with a group (rooms for 5, upgrade to suites, standalone bungalows and villas stays, having your own pool, etc.)
- Off-the-beaten-path/adventure cruise excursions in Europe that are appropriate for teens
- Movie, TV shows and pop culture locations to visit in Europe
- Travel experiences with a sports/Olympics theme
- Fun food experiences kids and the whole family can participate in
- Anything new and fun from suppliers that would cater to kids such as G Adventures, Contiki, Trafalgar, Colette, etc.
- Packing list of new or trending kid-centric items to travel with in the COVID era
OTHER NOTES:
- Maximum of three pitches per writer. Keep pitches short (maximum 100 words each).
- Personal stories welcome and encouraged.
- Stories must be original and not previously published.
- Travel must have been completed prior to pitching.
