We are always accepting freelance pitches. If you have an original story about farming and/or food you think would be a good fit for our publication, please send your pitch.
Our rates at the moment are as follows: We pay $350 for a MTMF profile, $400 for a 600-word story and $800 for a longer 1,000-1,200 word feature. Those are all in $CAD as our head office is currently based in Canada.
Writers does not have to be based in Canada. Most of our writers are in the United States, and our audience is mostly American.
