Contract Title: SEO Writer

Contract Oversight: Media Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The SEO writer produces web articles designed to increase traffic to the Two-Brain website. Article topics and general content ideas will be provided. The writer researches topics, conducts interviews with experts and writes carefully organized and formatted articles according to current best practices for search-engine optimization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing clear, accurate, professional, original copy.
- Interviewing experts and researching assorted subjects in depth.
- Tailoring articles to please search engines and rank high on search-engine results pages (SERPs).
- Meeting all deadlines as set when articles are commissioned.
- Working with the Media Director to ensure articles meet Two-Brain standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Experience as a professional writer, with experience writing for SEO considered an asset.
- Superior grasp of grammar, spelling and conceptualization.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and fulfill content requirements set by Media Director.
- Ability to conduct interviews to acquire expert opinion to be included in articles.
- Knowledge of all current best practices for interviewing, attributing, researching and writing.
- Solid online communication skills for interaction via Zoom, Slack and other communication systems.
- Ability to hit hard deadlines without fail.
