My company is looking for a freelance content writer for a long-term partnership writing on topics related to human resources, HR tech, organizational culture, employee surveys, organizational change management, employee experience, leadership, and many others related to people in organizations. Your audience will primarily be business consumers so this is B2B writing.

Writing tasks will mostly be in the form of blog posts, but you will also have the opportunity to write website content, longer-form articles, and case studies. We may also request that you edit and ‘liven up’ existing content.

YOU MUST…

Have a discernable writing voice in the sense that the writing is friendly, conversational, non-corporate, non-bland, doesn’t include marketing-speak, and is generally approachable
Want to have an impact on producing the “voice” and style of the company’s written materials
Be adept at creating SEO-optimized content
Have excellent written communication skills in English
Be independent with strong initiative
Have experience or knowledge on the topics, or be willing to learn on your own

POSITION DETAILS

You will be working as a contractor, not as an employee.
Blog articles will generally be between 500 and 1000 words. Other content may be longer or shorter.
As this is an advanced position, pay will be at least $0.20/word. We want to find the best writer for us, not the cheapest, so pay is certainly negotiable.
Turnaround time for articles should be around 7 days, but that is negotiable.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

For the initial set of articles, you will be provided with a topic, some bullet points, and the thesis or main argument we want to make in the article, if any. You will need to then construct the article and do relevant research.
We do not have time to finely edit your material. We will provide comments and feedback on content and messaging. This position is not for you if you need extensive feedback on the mechanics of writing itself.
Most articles will need some external references.
You will be able to propose article topics of your own.
