Pitches wanted (legal system, courts, politics, etc.) | 50 cents per word
Added 2021-10-08 21:46:48 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: BALLS & STRIKES
Reminder that Balls & Strikes is accepting pitches related to courts, judicial nominations, and everything that’s wrong with the legal system, which isn’t a short list.
We want to include more voices in the discourse, especially from writers whose perspectives are traditionally underrepresented at legacy outlets. So, if you have an idea you’d like to pitch, please do so using this form. If you, too, are fed up with a broken system that has more or less transformed representative democracy into conservative oligarchy, we would be happy to pay you money to write about it.
Rates: In this early post launch phase we’re still getting our footing, but I think a general guideline is about 50 cents a word. Flat fees negotiated in advance.
