I am looking for pitches for stories on what it was like to be part of a high school scandal, and how this shaped your life. Please read this full thread for more information.
I am looking for real-life experiences that have a narrative arc that would seem right out of “Pretty Little Liars,” “Gossip Girl,” “Riverdale,” etc. We want drama and intrigue that grab the readers, but I’m not looking for stories that glorify bullying, and we always want an impactful takeaway - showing us how this story affected you and why it’s relevant right now.
I am looking for detailed pitches that explain your story ideas and outline the pivotal scenes. Every memoir story revolves around active, exciting scenes. If you have a draft of something you’re working on, also feel free to send that over.
Pay starts at $500, with room to go up for more ambitious stories. We’re not prescriptive about word count, but the average length of our stories is ~2,500 words. Pitches due by October 27.
