This is a remote, contractor/freelance (1099) opportunity.

PGP (The Public Good Projects) is seeking a Newsletter Writer for Life Experienced, an events website for older adults. The writer will need to be available for edits on a 1-day turnaround, and this job will be renewed on a month-to-month basis through December 2021, with likelihood of expansion in 2022.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Research and write a weekly lifestyle newsletter that celebrates older adults across the country and showcases examples of resilient, self-confident people over 65 who are living well.
Within each newsletter, highlight virtual events for this population.
Edits need to be completed within 24 hours

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two years reporting and writing experience
Proven history of writing about or for older adults
Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills
Ability to work on tight deadlines, independently, in a remote team environment
Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
Familiarity with AP Style and SEO best practices a plus

Compensation: The project budget for staffing is approximately $2,000 per month ($500 per newsletter), through December 2021.

Additional Details: Contractor must have availability to meet with PGP staff up to 4 times/week during EST business hours and deliver the newsletter for edits on a regular cadence each week (exact day TBD); otherwise, the schedule is flexible.
