Writers wanted (travel news) | ~25 cents per word

I’ll be looking to add one or two more travel news writers in the next month or so. This a P/T gig but most writers work on ~10 stories per month for us, ranging from press release writearounds (~300 words, $75) to more robust explainers and features ($300+) and everything in between. While you’re welcome to pitch, most ideas are generated in-house. Writers should be good travel generalists—think hotels, cruises, airline, travel tips and hacks and file clean, timely copy. I think our existing news writers would tell you it’s a good steady gig. Most stories are turned around same or next day, but no commitment to hours or days worked. Want to learn more? Basically grab and pitch stories as you can, but should have the bandwidth for 2-3 stories/week. But we understand life/travel/things get in the way sometimes!
