Call for writers! Not-yet-launched “wordy” site will include a word of the day email, with choices that have a cultural relevancy or timeliness factor (brief, but insightful and snappy, write-ups on why this word). Feature articles will take a deep dive into the origins or changes of words over time, with a focus on narrative storytelling. In addition to skilled research, strong writing skills, and a portfolio of published clips at established outlets, folks with experience in linguistics and teaching are encouraged to apply.
And we're still developing, but I'd say the rates are $100 to $300ish based on format (daily email items vs articles).
