Journalists / Storytellers wanted (youth culture) | $100-$150 per piece
Added 2021-11-05 22:43:23 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: WAVES WORKS
About Us: WAVES is the emerging tide in youth culture — a space that chronicles, preserves and celebrates the multifaceted stories and everyday lives of young people of color living in America. Through sharp-witted coverage, WAVES explores topics ranging from pop culture and politics to identity and counterculture. Like generations before us, we assemble as provocateurs and dreamers birthing a new genesis of cool.
Company Mission: WAVES functions as a minority-owned, Internet-based independent magazine rooted in underlining the stories, voices and lives of young Americans of color who far too often find themselves unseen inside the homogeneous outlook of youth culture.
Company Values: At WAVES, we commit ourselves to amplifying stories and subcultures that remain on the fringe. As per this commitment, we offer young creators the chance to experiment with what it means to be a storyteller in the 21st century. We are incredibly proud to provide a space that not only encourages new ideas and perspectives but fosters an environment built on creativity, community and equity.
