As part of an effort to broaden our coverage, we will start commissioning freelance pieces. I'm looking for pitches related to BIPOC communities and our core coverage areas — transit, transportation and land use. Interested?
I'd encourage writers of color to pitch. We need more of their voices on the site. Citizen journalism and professional journalism can complement each other.
We're still ironing out the details on our end, but our rates are around $200-$250.
