If you’re a freelance journalist and have strong/unique pitch ideas for our new series on the harms and culture around skin whitening, DM me.
We are interested in pitches. Rates will vary depending on the approach, content type, etc. The series is running for 6 months but we are planning the content now so ideally we need pitches as soon as possible. This year or early January.
As this is a limited series, the stories need to be unique and in-depth compared to other reporting on this issue, ideally revealing unknowns or issues that need attention or can be changed. Pls DM me a specific story idea as a starting point.
Open to international writers.
We start at $350 per day, with an average of 5 days for a story in total. It will vary depending on how much needs to be done, but that's a starting point and the days would be agreed upon up front with some room for extras if things change for some reason.
