Very Local has been publishing local stories in Pittsburgh and New Orleans and now we are looking for writers to create stories about Boston & Orlando. We provide the best recommendations on cultural destinations and activities for local audiences. Tell us about the great things happening in your city!
Weβre looking for stories that other outlets arenβt writing about. Know a hidden taco spot? What about a great local artist? Thatβs what we want to see.
Some of our top stories in Pittsburgh & New Orleans include:
- History of local mom legends
- Guide to brunch with bottomless mimosas
- Profiles of local businesses
- Haunted histories of famous buildings
Bloggers/Instagram content creators are welcome to apply. We are looking for writers who can tell stories to a mobile audience. We are looking for stories 300-500+ words.
We pay $125+ per story. All payments to freelance writers are managed through the Storyhunter platform and freelancers are paid in 30 days.
