Freelancers: I’m now seeking pitches for nature, outdoors, travel, history, and Being Texan (Texas subculture) stories.
It helps if you've got a news hook / reason to do the story now. Stories about less-covered parts of the state also get an edge.
We typically pay 50 cents/word for web and $1/word for print. The emails on the submissions page are generally accurate (your pitch will get to the right place) but need some updating.
