Transparency & Trust: We are always intellectually honest. We value independence and don’t micromanage. We know we’ll be wrong a lot, and that’s okay. We also trust everyone on the team by default - trust doesn’t have to be earned. It can only be broken by not being transparent.

People > Customers > Company: Our team comes first, always. Then come the teams of our customers. Kona is only as strong as the team is, and meaningless without the overall wellbeing of everyone. We will ALWAYS prioritize this. And it’s okay to not be okay - we see vulnerability as a strength.

Keep it Simple: We keep it simple, stupid. We avoid buzzwords, and have a virtual buzzword jar to ensure we don’t get carried away in Silicon Valley hype. By design, we avoid excessive perfectionism. If something is perfect, it usually means we’ve spent too long on it. We always experiment, and often scrap things and try them a different way.
