I run a YouTube channel in the personal finance, investing, economics, and business niche and we’re looking for a long-term freelance video-essayist / Documentary Style writer to join our team.
Ideally, you should be able to:
- Comfortably write in English (the script should be casual, conversational and entertaining)
- Have experience writing video essays / documentary-style videos (please share prior work)
- Explain concepts in a digestible and entertaining way
- Be able to research information deeply and pay close attention to detail
- Creatively string an entertaining story together based on the topic provided
This is a LONG TERM position. We’re looking for 1-2 video essays per week with ~2500 words per script. We’re looking to pay $250 to $450 per video essay depending on experience level and work quality. As our channel and business grow, we’re more than happy to increase the rate and even offer other business opportunities.
