Blog Writer wanted (NYC real estate) | $100-$200 per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: METRO MANHATTAN OFFICE SPACE

Write articles discussing tenant-centric commercial real estate topics. Articles target business customers, and familiarity with business topics is preferable. Length of articles should be 1000-2000 words. There will be 5 to 8 articles per month, depending on the writer's talent and availability. The writer will be provided with topics, and they can suggest them as well. The topics typically discuss commercial real estate trends: Office space vacancies, the evolution of different neighborhoods, lease negotiations, issues affecting landlords and tenants etc. Ability to write creative articles related to the CRE sector is a bonus (for example: intersections of politics and CRE, business and CRE, impacts of city planning etc). Sufficient familiarity with New York City commercial real estate is required. The writing style should be professional, fairly assertive, and polite. The content should offer value, insight, and substance with minimum filler.

Qualifications are flexible, subject to your experience level and the number of work samples that you can provide. Examples of qualities and qualifications we seek include:

• Degree in real estate studies, an MBA, or current involvement with similar programs is preferable
• Experience in journalism pertaining to New York City, with emphasis on real estate topics
• Ability to create engaging, concise, and well-written stories with little future supervision
• Strong knowledge of New York City and sufficient knowledge of the NYC real estate market
• Applicant is expected to follow NYC news via outlets such as WSJ, NYT, Comercial Observer, and others.
• Ability to adapt based on feedback and further improve the quality of your writing
• Strong resourcefulness and ability to research and collect data from various public sources
