Pitches wanted (ATL restaurants, bars, dining) | ~50 to 75 cents per word

We are a local news and service site based in the city of Atlanta reporting on restaurants and bars, dining and dining trends, food pop-ups and food trucks, and the business of restaurants throughout Atlanta and metro Atlanta.
We accept pitches on the following: local restaurant and dining news; dining/cuisine maps; in-depth dining/cuisine guides; food explainers and food crawls; reported restaurant/chef/local food industry features; and photography and illustrated stories featuring local restaurants and dining.
The site does not accept pitches on recipes, food holidays, grocery products, or conduct local restaurant reviews. While we do occasionally accept local restaurant and dining-driven opinion pieces and first-person narratives, those pitches must come with a strong voice, fact-based conclusions, and/or direct personal experience.
RATES: My budget currently allows me to pay between .50 and .75 per word based on the amount of work involved in a specific story or guide. Sometimes we agree on a flat rate for a story, especially when it goes above the site's per word budget and we can negotiate a fair rate. Figures can range from $200 for a small feature story or guide of 500 to 800 words to averaging as high as $875 for stories ranging between 1000 to 1200 words. We pay on a bimonthly basis.
