Pitches are open! We publish personal essays and opinion pieces about chronic illness, disability and health. We pay ÂŁ75 for 700-900 words.
HOW TO PITCH:
- Put the word PITCH in the subject
- If your story is time sensitive please mark as TIMELY
- Include a couple of paragraphs about you, your pitch and why you want to write about it. If you have links to previous work include that too but its not essential
- If your pitch contains sensitive subjects can you please trigger warnings at the top of the email. A simple "TW: Domestic abuse" or "TW: eating disorders" is fine. If you're unsure if you should, do so anyway just to be safe. This allows our editors to practice self-care.
- We accept pitches from all over the world but be aware we only pay in GBP and USD. - Please only send pitches to this address, not editor's personals. - We only publish articles, not poetry or short stories. We only publish own voices not parents or partners
- Please note that we are a two-person team, both of whom have chronic illnesses and work other jobs, so it may take up to two months to reply to your pitch. - It's not just me that reads pitches, please address to me.
