FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What’s a mini article? A personal narrative style piece of about 300 words (2000 characters max adhering to instagram’s caption limits as that’s where mini articles are published).

How much does it pay? $100 per approved mini article.

What do you mean by ‘pitch’? In your email, you should include only your story premise, a possible headline, and detailed clarification on the angle (not completed drafts).

How many mini articles can I submit? As many as you’d like.

Who owns the rights to my work upon being published? You retain all of the rights to your work.

Can I submit something that’s already been published elsewhere? While we’re not seeking sole exclusivity here, we do encourage you to produce and submit original work as we don’t pay for content that’s already been published.

When’s the deadline? There is no deadline for submissions.

How will I know if I’ve been selected? Due to the anticipated number of applicants, we can’t respond to every pitch email individually. If selected, we will contact you directly to discuss next steps. Thank you in advance to all who submit, keep sending them our way, and don’t get discouraged.

I live internationally. can i still submit something? Yes, writers based anywhere in the world are welcomed.
