Added 2022-02-09 22:39:08 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: BACKPACKER
Deadline: 15 February 2022
It's that time again: I'm looking for your pitches for Bearpacker, Backpacker Magazine's annual celebration of bear science, safety, stories, travel, and more. Send them along to aroy[at]outsideinc[dot]com by Tuesday.
Rates will vary, but an average story would be between $200-250 for somewhere around 800-900 words, depending on research it requires. We've gone shorter and simpler for less (news, for example) and longer/more complex for more, but the majority of what we do falls in that range.
