We are looking for Washington-based freelance journalists with specific expertise pitching about and reporting on US foreign policies toward Asia and Latin America’s economies. Freelancers who are able to demonstrate a track record covering US foreign policy news and analysis will be prioritized.
Perhaps you have stories to pitch on how the Build Back Better Framework will affect US businesses in Latin America. Maybe you want to look into the different ways the government forges alliances throughout Asia, and how it all fits together.
Selected freelancers are expected to pitch ideas regularly to the client and write one to two articles (approximately 700 words per story) per month around foreign policy analysis topics. Freelancers should also be able and willing to interview stakeholders.
Applicants need to possess excellent written fluency in English and be able to turn stories around within a matter of days.
Rates are fixed on a per published story (US$500).
