Calling all union siblings and higher education colleagues. TFA is paying freelance writers for original pieces. You do not need to be a member to submit something on one of the requested topics at this time. Writing must be submitted by March 15.
FREELANCE SUBMISSIONS:
We welcome submissions of original writing 400-600 words.
Topics we are accepting through March 15, 2022 are: administrative bloat at Texas colleges/universities in the past 5-10 years, the great disengagement of higher ed (may include mental health of COVID), higher ed faculty organizing efforts in states with no collective bargaining, and issues facing contingent faculty.
Submit to texasfacultyassociationhq@gmail.com by March 15 deadline.
Op-ed/narrative, expository, or researched articles accepted. Writing can be anonymous. Accepted articles paid at $200.
Submissions accepted from TFA members and non-members. TFA will have the right to first publication and then rights will be returned to the author. TFA reserves the right to edit articles. The TFA Board will choose which articles to accept. TFA will use these articles on social media and possibly our TSTA/TFA magazine, The Advocate.
