Pitches wanted (textile, farming, fashion) (worldwide) | ~12 cents per word
Added 2022-03-17 12:09:49 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: SLICED
Sliced is inviting pitches for its ninth issue — textiles! Please send pitches, bio and writing samples to editor@fedfedfed.com. You can find all our previous issues here: https://fedfedfed.com/sliced
We pay CD$0.15 per word for around 1200 words. International and new writers are welcome and encouraged. We'll commission as soon as we see something we like, there's no deadline for this issue.
We also have article ideas we're looking for people to take on, below are some themes we're particularly interested in:
Smart/interactive fabrics; agro textiles and geo textiles; regenerative farming for the textile industry; how food/farm waste can be used in the fashion industry; bioplastics, silk production; indigo farming; whether sustainable alternatives will disrupt or reproduce exploitation in textiles and the fashion industry.
We're a food and agriculture magazine — and we expect this issue will focus more on agriculture — but we're open to all your food pitches for textiles. If you've got a cool idea that we've not covered, then pitch us!
