Compensation: $100 per blog written (500-600 words); $50 per blog “update” (insert keywords/adapt for UK English)

Needs: 10-15 stories (5-6 per month)

Location: virtual/remote (anywhere)

ABOUT ENCHROMA:

Write SEO blogs for our dynamic marketing team at EnChroma, where we make amazing glasses for color blindness that change lives. You’ll be instrumental in helping us get the word out about our glasses for the color blind.

SUMMARY:

If you are a recent graduate, a good writer and/or studying public relations or marketing, and/or have 1-2 years of experience, are good at problem-solving, creative, highly resourceful, work well with others, can work independently or as part of a team, and want to learn or gain experience developing and writing stories, please apply.

The Junior SEO Writer reports to the Vice President of Communications & Partnership, who is based in Davis, CA. You must be a good writer, have strong attention to detail, be able to follow directions and incorporate edits and feedback, think on your feet, be self-driven and resourceful.

DUTIES:

• Work closely with the Vice President of Communications & Partnerships to draft blog stories of 500-600 word length.
• Insert updated SEO Keywords into existing blog stories. (10-13 stories total)
• Adapt existing blog stories for slight nuances in English language for other countries (England versus US).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be majoring in or have graduated with a degree in public relations, communications, English or marketing and/or 1-2 years of writing.
• Strong writer. A MUST.
• Familiarity with software and collaboration tools is a plus, including: Google Docs, Slack, MS Office, project management software (Asana) and with social media monitoring tools Sprout).
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is CRITICAL.
• Highly resourceful and calm under pressure is CRITICAL.
• High emotional intelligence and situational awareness.
• Possess excellent communications skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ideally have or are in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, History or a related field
