If you're looking for a stable, remote, long-term writing position with room to grow, then this is the position for you!
We’re looking for multiple writers that are interested in business, finance, economics, and crime - that are also great at writing stories, not just listing out information in a boring listicle.
The stories you write will be narrated and turned into short documentary-style videos, so it's crucial that you're able to cover a topic in an interesting way. We're looking for writers who can tell stories, not just write essays.
WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:
You’ll be helping write for a YouTube channel similar to these channels
We highly recommend that you view the sample videos above to get a better understanding of what you'll be tasked with doing.
Please read all the requirements before applying:
DETAILS:
- Part-time, with potential for full time
- Stories vary from 2,200 words to 5,000 words depending on the topic
- Flexible work schedule, but ideally you'll be able to write at least 1 story per week
- Story topics include business, finance, crime, war, etc.
- Writing stories that will be narrated as "scripts"
- Fully remote
REQUIREMENTS:
- You’re flexible enough to be able to learn how to write in a different style quickly with instructions
- Research/Write content
- English must be proficient
- Please mention your favorite author / book in your application so we can be sure you read the requirements
- You're an avid social media user (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc)
DO NOT APPLY:
- If people can tell your English is not proficient in your writing
- You can't provide previous writing samples
- You're unwilling to produce a sample writing task that we provide
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Basic online apps like The Google Suite: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.
- Trello
COMPENSATION:
- Pay rate is approximately $0.15 c/w or $25/hr.
- Payment options include paypal, transferwise, and wire transfer
