Louisiana and Mississippi food writers! Particularly writers interested in foodways and cultural explorations of our regional cuisine, we want to work with you. Introduce yourselves and send your samples.
We have a Cuisine section in every issue—so we are absolutely always looking to connect with local food writers and to hear their pitches. Rates depend on the writer's experience, the amount of interviews/reporting/travel required, and word count. And our stories these days generally run from 800-1,500 words.
