Writer wanted (digital content, UX writing) | up to $55 per hour
Added 2022-06-06 18:10:48 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
Ted Wirth, Director of Digital Media and Content at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is looking for a writer:
I oversee the editorial content team at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and we’re starting the content development phase of a website redesign later this month. I’m looking for a freelance writer with digital-first content development experience: someone who is experienced in applying SEO best practices to digital content, can be succinct without sacrificing core messaging or clarity, understands UX writing principles or perhaps worked alongside UX or product teams, and (ideally) has examples of both landing page copy and microcopy (error messages, help text/tool tips, etc.) that they can share.
The project will run for approximately six months. We’re estimating around 30 hours per week—probably closer to 20 for the first week or two, but then moving closer to 30-35 as the project ramps up. It’s mostly editing down and rewriting existing content to be more conversational and less of the dense medical text available to folks now. For our digital/marketing content, we use Chicago Style. We’ll train you on LLS brand voice/tone and nuances. The rate is up to $55/hour depending on seniority.
We’re based in New York, so someone on East Coast or Central time is preferred. You can reach out to my Senior Manager of Content, Teresa Abbate at Teresa.abbate@lls.org with inquiries with writing samples.
