PITCH CALL, kinda last-minute! For a spot in an upcoming issue, I’m looking to develop a sharp, timely ~2,000-word feature illuminating some aspect of MENTAL HEALTH. Pitch deadline: June 2. Per-word rate: $1.50-$2.00.
Preference given to proposals for deeply reported narrative reads. Also open to incisive trend pieces. Pitches should add to the national conversation in a way that pertains to young women specifically.
We’re aiming to commission the print piece by next week in hopes of receiving a completed draft by the third week of July, give or take. (I may also assign a few digital stories from this pitch batch. The long-lead print spot is just the most pressing priority right now.)
