I am currently (always!) looking for medium/large-scale recommendations lists (streaming, books, etc.), video game features, big subject rankings or guides.
We're extremely picky with rankings. They should have a strong point of view on the subject, and a methodology for ranking that ideally goes beyond the highly subjective idea of "best" a good example.
Also, I try to respond to all of my emails but I can't promise to because I get a lot of them. A good way to ensure you get a reply is to do a bit of research. If your email pitches something we don't really cover or names the wrong publication, it will probably be ignored.
I know its confusing because of Vox Media but if you pitch me something for "Vox," I probably won't respond.
Rates vary a lot depending on the type of piece but generally start at $200.
