Remote Content Writer wanted (financial services) | $35 to $85 per hour

Graham Media Partners is an integrated marketing and consulting agency seeking a freelance writer with a strong background in financial services to join its team on an as-needed part-time basis. The writer would coordinate with GMP’s leadership team, who would provide assignments; primarily interface with the clients to arrange deadlines, secure feedback, and set up interviews; coordinate the review process; and finalize all projects. The writer would be expected to have some availability for phone interviews and feedback sessions.

Types of writing will include white papers, brochures, blog posts, case studies, website copy, social media posts, messaging documentation, etc.

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute high-priority content to support overall marketing strategy
• Complete assignments by assigned due dates
• Conduct research, as required, to become familiar with topics and develop strong content
• Edit and revise content based on feedback from a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with GMP’s leadership team and with key client contacts
• Adhere to brand and style guidelines to ensure consistent voice and tone across materials and outlets
• Optimize content for SEO

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Organized, responsive, detail-oriented, & proactive
• Strong writing skills are an absolute must – short- and long-form content for print and online
• Work well with others and take direction and constructive criticism from others
• Manage time and multiple deadlines for multiple projects and clients
• Provide design instruction based on copy (not necessary, but desirable!)
• REQUIRED: 5+ years of financial services copywriting experience
• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, communications, or a related field

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

This position is an hourly, contract position. GMP intends to work with the candidate on an ongoing basis, providing a steady stream of work and developing a valued partnership.
