Copywriter wanted for digital marketing and web design agency | ~12 cents per word

Summit Creative Marketing is a digital marketing and web design agency based out of Tampa, FL. We are seeking an experienced marketing copywriter for a part-time, contract, remote position. Agencies will not be considered for this role, solo freelancers only. Work cannot be subcontracted to other individuals.

The copywriter will be responsible for producing engaging, clear text for different advertising channels such as websites, blogs, newsletters, and more. Their duties include researching keywords, producing interesting written content and proofreading their work for accuracy and quality.

Must submit writing samples to be considered.

Payment is per project. No guaranteed amount of projects per month but on average you could expect between 5-15 projects per month averaging 500-1000 words each.

PAYMENT STRUCTURE

• 300 words $36
• 500 words $60
• 1,000 words $120
• 1,500 words $180

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Writing clear and error-free content for a website that reflects the company’s voice and is SEO optimized
• Meeting with clients to understand their message, brand voice and target audience
• Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved
• Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
• Collaborating with PR and marketing departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials
• Working with clients to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years experience in Copywriting
• 2+ years experience in editing
• 2+ years experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Experience with website content analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics
• BS/BA degree preferred in Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing, PR, etc.
