Remote Senior Writer / Editor wanted (HR benefits) | $61 to $64 per hour

Title: Senior Editor/Writer- HR Benefits Writer

Rate: $61-$64

Duration: 6 mos/ and not guaranteed 40 hours a week- will depend on project progress

Location: Remote

TOP REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience of writing benefits
• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years of experience editing and writing on the topics of Employee Benefits, executive compensation and HR management.
• Familiarity with current issues in human resources, including health care reform and the global HR and business environment.

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO:

• Draft content for print and digital delivery for employee audiences who are at different literacy levels.
• Highly skilled at simplifying complex topics around health and welfare benefits, transactional enrollment processes and various financial implications of benefits.
• Use interview and research skills to understand an issue and report it in a way that considers the sophistication and knowledge of the audience.
• Both line edit, and copy edit articles written by consultants to restructure when necessary, revise stilted language and improve readability.
• Juggle multiple projects and deadlines, work with a team and gracefully deal with ambiguity.
• Proofread the work of others if needed.

CANDIDATES SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them properly under tight time constraints.
• Availability and willingness to work outside normal business hours.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision.

Bachelors degree required, journalism, marketing, communications or public relations degree preferred. HR communication consulting experience a plus.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is for ad hoc work and not guaranteed 40 hours per week. Time will be based on the projects at the time.
