Pitches wanted (reproductive health) | $1+ per word

I am seeking pitches for a single reporter who wants to take on a series of up to six stories on reproductive health care. I'm open to any focus within this lane — what I'm looking for, above all else, are robustly reported, ambitious stories.

What I'm looking for in pitches: an overarching reporting area and at least three specific story targets, knowing the reporting might take you down other paths; a plan to report the ideas out; clips that show both strong reporting and writing skills; background about you.

Definitely features, though I think profiles certainly can fall into the feature bucket. I am loathe to give a word count before seeing any ideas, especially in a series that could possibly benefit from both short and lengthy pieces.

The exact rate will be a flat fee and is negotiable depending on the length and number of stories and the depth of reporting proposed, but will land at a minimum of $1/word.
