Remote Senior Writer wanted (mom / parenting brand) | $5,000 to $5,536 per month

Mama Natural is adding a full-time, senior level contractor to our team of creative and passionate people. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from anywhere.

We are seeking a senior writer / associate creative director who has deep knowledge of natural pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.

Our dream candidate would be someone who worked as a copywriter at an advertising agency, who then followed their heart and pivoted to become a doula in order to help as many mamas as possible.

You have a way with words. Love to craft punchy headlines and subheads. You omit needless words. You notice copy that is written in passive voice and it bugs you. ;)

You’re a voracious consumer of media. And omnivore who consumes magazines, social media, journals, and streaming media. You go deep down the rabbit hole when you’re passionate about something, and you know how to find the sources and studies behind the articles. You’re fluent in IG and TikTok.

REQUIRED EXPERTISE:

• 3 – 5+ years experience in storytelling
• Written communication: copy writing/editing/fact-checking
• Content creation: web & social media platforms
• You can manage designers, but also roll up your sleeves and crank out a meme in Photoshop when necessary

YOU MUST:

• Have strong organizational skills
• Meet deadlines, prioritize multiple projects
• Have great attention to detail and accuracy
• Work well independently/remotely
• Be immersed in parenting culture and passionate about holistic health

DETAILS:

• Contract position
• 30-40 hours per week
• Reports to company president
