Remote Copywriter wanted (healthcare) | $59 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Edit customer-facing clinical content for a wide variety of medical conditions in accordance with a defined style guide, work with SME authors to maintain clinical accuracy while bringing the content up to consumer-facing readability standards (including best practices for screen readers)
• Create clear, friendly healthcare content for a variety of channels (primarily health condition summaries)
• Edit and update procedural content for clinical business partners based on clinical, operational, and legal inputs
• Suggest process improvements for a new and growing team that has minimal experience creating and managing content
• Write a low volume of content marketing articles for a variety of marketing channels
• Work with content marketing and product managers to define and maintain an editorial calendar and style guide

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 2+ years' experience creating high-quality, customer-facing healthcare content
• 6+ years' experience copywriting in the technology industry
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, advertising, communications, or equivalent experience
• Mastery of the written English language, including a strong ability to self-edit
• Demonstrated ability to understand and present clinical information to a Client audience
• Ability to produce a high volume of high-quality content with minimal supervision
• Ability to confidently interact with a diverse group of stakeholders

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• 1+ years' experience in an editorial role (copy editor, proofreader)
• Experience working in a fast-paced, loosely structured startup environment
• Familiarity with UX writing and content strategy best practices
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and balancing competing workloads
• Strong customer-focused thinking
• Experience writing for localization
• Ability to create and manage an editorial calendar
• Strong understanding of best practices for content accessibility
