I'm looking for pitches for the health and parenting section! Please read this thread and then feel free to send me something
Please send a full pitch, rather than a general email about freelancing. I'd love a proposed headline, some info about the story you want to write and your unique angle, and how you'd structure it, etc.
I'm editing for the health and parenting section and would love to hear from people who want to write about disability, sex and relationships, mental health, queerness, healthcare, etc. — either evergreen, or tied to something happening in the news
Feel free to include whether you're also open to assignments in case the pitch isn't a fit but there's opportunity to work together in the future, as well as your typical beat *and* other topics you're interested in covering!
As for rate, it'll vary depending on scope of the piece but about $250 for ~600-700 words is a good estimate.
